A rare early work by renowned Alaskan artist JULES BERNARD DAHLAGER (American/Alaska, 1884-1952). Oil painting on board, signed and dated in the lower right corner "Jules 1926," and is titled on the reverse: "Mt. Eccles and Lake Eyak, Cordova, Alaska." Housed in a gilt Newcomb Macklin frame.

The painting is in excellent condition with some slight craquelure present in the clouds (stable). The original Newcomb Macklin Co. red stamp is still present on the reverse right side. Painting measures 7-7/8" x 9-7/8." Overall with frame, the piece measures roughly 12-1/2" x 14-1/2".
