Historic orotone, or goldtone, photograph by Seattle, Washington photographer ASAHEL CURTIS (American/Washington, 1874 - 1941), brother of Edward S. Curtis, of the State's famed Mt. Rainier from Lake Washington. Created ca. late 1910s - 1920s, the orotone/goldtone photographic process was a regional phenomenon in the Pacific Northwest. Housed in the original gilt gesso Arts & Crafts frame.
