Intricate antique medium-sized coiled Pacific Northwest KLICKITAT (ancestral lands north of the Columbia River in Washington State) coiled western red cedar berry basket, fully-imbricated with a unique polychrome diagonal and lozenge design. Western red cedar foundation with imbrication of dark brown/black (horsetail root), brown (cedar root) and white (bear grass). Circular start with flaring walls and circular opening, decorated with braided continuous top-looped rim. Late 19th century.

Basket is overall in excellent condition, with minimal loss of imbrication. Measures roughly 8-3/4" H.
