COWLITZ SOUTHERN COAST SALISH child's fully-imbricated berry basket, ca. late 19th century. Former Bruce Boyd Collection, Seattle.

Historic TLINGIT (Southwest Alaska) carved wood (big leaf maple) totem, depicting three vertically stacked figures--a crowning dogfish woman figure at top and a sculpin fish at the base. Scooped-out reverse. Ca. 1870s.

ACOMA PUEBLO (New Mexico) medium-sized polychrome pottery olla water jar, with marked flexure at the lower shoulder and painted in an overall pattern of crossing black bands and lozenge motifs.

HAIDA (Haida Gwaii Islands, B.C., Canada) finely twined cylindrical basket with brown-toned horizontal banding and fish-net raised skip-skitch rim decoration, 19th century.

PLAINS spontoon pipe tomahawk with tremendous patination and file-branding on the ashwood heft, ca. 1840s - 1850s. 24-1/4" L.

Very finely-woven plain twined spruce root TLINGIT Northern Northwest Coast lidded rattle top basket, with intricate false embroidery design in maidenhair fern and dyed grass, ca. first quarter 20th century.

SIBERIAN YUP'IK carved walrus ivory tobacco pipe with geometric compass designs scrimshawed around the entirety of the piece and pipe bowl, filled with red and black pigment. Late 19th century.

NAVAJO Transitional Blanket, woven in handspun wool, in natural ivory and dark brown, and aniline colors, with a series of stepped crosses alternating with small stepped lozenge motifs, ca. 1885.

NORTHWEST COAST, likely TLINGIT or HAIDA, polychrome painted carved cedar canoe dance paddle. The piece is intricately relief- carved on both sides in formline designs, with one side enhanced with matte green, red, and black pigments.

Antique medium-sized coiled Pacific Northwest KLICKITAT (ancestral lands north of the Columbia River in Washington State) coiled western red cedar berry basket, fully-imbricated with a unique polychrome diagonal and lozenge design. Western red cedar foundation with imbrication of dark brown/black (horsetail root), brown (cedar root) and white (bear grass). Circular start with flaring walls and circular opening, decorated with braided continuous top-looped rim. Late 19th century.

INUPIAQ or YUP'IK ESKIMO carved walrus ivory cribbage board, crafted in the shape of a salmon. Features intricate scrimshaw detail work, including a scrolling, low-lying tree and a walrus. 19th century.

Northwest Coast NUU-CHAH-NULTH (Nootka) twined flaring, chapeaux-style basketry rain hat with three twined multi-colored bands, ca. 1900.
